While the technical conscience of the cable car operators has been assumed by the authorities for years, today security is sought primarily on paper. Due to the technical development, staff turnover and the associated erosion of competence, both with the authorities and with the operator, the transformation now takes the form of a new understanding of roles.
In this constellation, new instruments are needed that are already well established in other industries. On the one hand the work processes are to be described in a process management system, on the other hand the maintenance is to be supported by a suitable EDP instrument. The focus is on the proof of the work performed, which in turn serves as a basis for the authorities to issue operating licenses or is used in the investigation of events. Through this professionalization the impending loss of knowledge should be counteracted.
